WEBMay 2, 2014 · With the Surface powered off, I pressed and held the Volume Up button. Then I powered the Surface on, holding the Volume Up button pressed the entire time. Once the Surface entered into the UEFI interface, I chose “Install Default Secure Boot Keys” and selected “Yes” to cause the Surface to load the default secure variables.

I left it plugged in over night and the next morning it had no charge. Today I have been watching the light closely.

I tried plugging it on my surface pro charger and it did start charging! I believe the charger of the surface 2 is not powerful enough to charge a fully discharged battery (fully discharged should mean 30% or so on a LIPO).
