I don't even use a headset for chatting, just normal headphones that need to be amped, and it has been a huge pain getting the PS5 to output its virtual surround via an external UAC1 DAC due to all the hardware and software output limitations the system has.

WEBApr 30, 2021 · Turns out the 3D audio in some PS5 games as well as 3D-audio-enhanced PS4 games (GoT, TLoU) that previously only sounded tinny, airy, and/or muffled fared much better. Sackboy in particular was a revelation. So it really is a YMMV thing based on your unique ear profile and your headset.

Pulse 3D manual tells you to charge the headset with the front port as well. Also, this is the port they tell you to plug in the wireless dongle.
