Poss to have a bit of loosness there that could cause a bit of loss or bad gasket. I would just take it off and look inside the cylinder for scoreing and poss head gasket failure. Just a thought and not allot of work to try. Gasket around $12 or so.

The first is to activate the fuel pump, the second is to move the gasoil from the crankcase to the cylinder.
