WEBApr 24, 2019 — I don’t own an Xotic, but I have played a few and own a couple dozen higher-end guitars, so I will try to say something helpful. The build quality is excellent, and they sound good. I don’t meet many unhappy Xotic owners. But, resale value isn’t likely to be that great, so if you’re going to buy relic might as well also buy used.

WEBDec 25, 2018 — According to the Xotic rep who answered my email, the two necks they offer are both asymmetric. You really need to get your hand on the specific necks to try them. Even though a neck may or may not be asymmetric, the width, depth and rest of the carve shape makes a huge difference to how the neck feels.

Jack at Peach Guitars sounds his best, among playing the greatest guitars money can buy, when he’s playing an stock Xotic XTC-1 through a Dr. Z Maz 18. It beats a custom shop Fender, LSL, Suhr and any other T-style I’ve heard.

The single coils can get a little shrill, but it's pretty much a non-issue, you dial a little tone out or bring it down a hair on an EQ pedal and it completely goes away. I think Xotic does vintage pickups as good anybody, the Xotic PAF in my XSC-2 get's into the Les Paul territory, and the single coils are very stratty.
