Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus promised he would evaluate his staff following the team's 19-3 loss to the New England Patriots, and on Tuesday a change did come down. CBS Sports NFL insider Jonathan Jones is reporting that the Bears have fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron.

Shane Waldron has been fired as the Chicago Bears' offensive coordinator less than 10 months after being hired for the job. The Bears announced the firing Tuesday, one day after head coach Matt Eberflus promised "changes" and "adjustments" for the struggling Bears.

Shane Waldron is out after just nine games as the Bears’ offensive coordinator. The Bears have fired Waldron and are replacing him with Thomas Brown, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Brown previously had the title of offensive passing game coordinator, but now he’ll take over Waldron’s responsibilities and call the Bears’ offensive plays.
