China's Shang reaches first ATP tour final in career at Chengdu Open
Shang's achievement marks a historic week for Chinese tennis following Zhang Zhizhen's final appearance in Hangzhou. They became the second and third mainland Chinese male player to reach the ATP Tour finals, succeeding Wu Yibing's win in Dallas last year.

Shang Juncheng rode out a break of serve in each set to end Yannick Hanfmann’s Chengdu Open bid with a 6-4, 6-4 victory. The 19-year-old, who also goes by Jerry, has dropped just one set en route after ousting the likes of Kei Nishikori and No. 2 seed Alexander Bublik along the way.
