An excessive heat warning has been extended for much of the Bay Area through late Friday night, as a late season heat wave continues to bring hot temperatures to the region, some of which have been record-breaking.

The excessive heat warning, which has been in place since Monday, was extended into Saturday across the interior North Bay.

An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect through Monday evening. Please try to limit time outdoors from late morning through the afternoon. If you do have to be outdoors, stay hydrated and seek shade when necessary.
