LOS ANGELES - Is Shohei Ohtani being underpaid by the Los Angeles Dodgers? As crazy as that sounds, considering Ohtani had signed a $700 million contract with the Dodgers in December 2023, there's a case for the Boys in Blue's front office to be had where the team may have landed baseball's "unicorn" on a severe bargain.

Ohtani would also become the 12th player in history to win at least three MVP awards. Yogi Berra, Joe DiMaggio, Roy Campanella, Jimmie Foxx, Mickey Mantle, Albert Pujols, Stan Musial, Mike Trout, Alex Rodriguez and Mike Schmidt also won three MVPs. Only one player has won more — Barry Bonds (seven).
