The biggest upgrade for smart home users is the new Home panel. This smart home control panel is accessed via a tile in the quick settings panel and lets you control devices connected to Google Home. You can do things like turn lights on or off or dim / brighten, trigger a Movie Time automation, and adjust your thermostat, all from the remote.

The Google TV Streamer officially launched on September 24 in two colors, Porcelain and Hazel. It is now available to buy for $100 from Amazon, Best Buy, and the Google Store. Be sure and grab yours now if you're ready for a huge jump forward from the Chromecast.

The Google TV Streamer goes on sale tomorrow (September 24) for $99/ £99 / AU$159. It’s available in porcelain white or hazel gray. There aren’t any other storage options, though the 32GB that’s included is four times that of the $49 Chromecast with Google TV, which it’s replacing.

The new Google Home panel and AI-generated ambient art features are coming to other Google TV devices, and not just Google TV Streamer. Huzzah.
