The search for a new manager for the Cincinnati Reds will begin immediately following the firing of manager David Bell after six seasons, president of baseball operations Nick Krall said.

Bell’s tenure had some bright moments, but the fanbase’s frustration is warranted. The Reds have been mired in mediocrity for years, missing out on the playoffs in five of six seasons under Bell. This franchise hasn't won a postseason series in decades.
